When you’re on the go a lot it is sometimes hard to stick to a healthy diet. I’m guilty of hitting the gas station and stopping at the nearest fast food place when we’re on the road. With a little bit of preparation and planning you can stock up on healthy snacks before hitting the road. Here’s 15 healthy and convenient vegetarian/meatless snack ideas for on the go.

The options with a * marked next to them are items requiring refrigeration. A cooler with ice can easily be placed in the back of the vehicle at the top of the luggage for easy assess at rest stops and bathroom breaks.

*Carrots and Hummus Cups: Purchase the hummus in individual cups and use individual baby carrots to dip. No silverware needed.

+Peanut Butter and Apples: Cup up the apples ahead of time and pair with peanut butter to go cups.

*Nuts and Cheese: Individual packages are the way to go but you can also make your own with cheese cubes and cashews, almonds, ect. Package inside sandwich bags.
